With the recent world premiere of Dune: Part Two from Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures decided to congratulate the creators of the block sandbox Minecraft from the Mojang studio.

“Congratulations to our partners at Legendary and Warner Bros. Pictures. Curious what’s in the works right now?” – says a message left the day before, March 3, from the official Minecraft microblog.

The Minecraft developers accompanied their message to the authors of the film with a screenshot from their game, clearly reminiscent of the poster for the release of “Dune: Part Two”

Fans in the comments to the post suggest that in this way the Minecraft authors are hinting at a crossover with “Dune: Part Two” or, what the hell, even a movie based on “Dune” in the style of Minecraft.

Considering the excitement around the continuation of the story of Paul Atreides, it is easy to assume that the creators of Minecraft also wanted to take advantage of the success of the film ($178.5 million in the first weekend).

If the information about the crossover between Minecraft and Dune is confirmed, then this will not be the first thematic collaboration in the history of the block sandbox. In the past, for example, the game received a paid add-on with content based on Disney films.
